Thanks for the offer. Someone was throwing out their old deck wood at the dump so I'm all set. I stopped at Trader Joe's and picked up a few quarts of coconut oil, and it shines like new! LOL
I'm going to try and save this finish for the time being. There's a couple areas with slight stress cracks, but really it's clean. Not sure if the faded areas will get better, either, but it's worth a shot.
What surprised me is the carpet. Yes, it's dirty, but it's not really worn, and the backing is still strong on the areas I've lifted. I'm going to try and have it cleaned. I have some leads on fabric, and even some local places that can do the headed pleating.
The motor is a 1980-81, so it's a crank rated 115. Kind of a bummer, if I can fix it cheaply. If not, I'll be looking for an ADI 115 post 83. Part of me wants a early 70's motor, but what I'll do is maybe change the front cover to an older one for the look. Excited to jump into this one because all the "hard" stuff I've done before.
The tear down will begin next week when I pull the motor at my buddies garage using his hoist. Then I'll have a beer party to transfer the hull to the cradle. Here's hoping for no freak October snow!
