Weekend Project 2
« on: June 08, 2020, 05:32:03 PM »
OK let's try this again.

Problem:  Keeping the rear seat  open to access the storage compartment. I've been using a block of wood wedged between the seat base and seat.
                Not a very elegant solution.
                Keep cost to a minimum.

Solution:  Use a screen door spring and couple of brackets fabbed from some scrap aluminum I had. I found the spring at Tractor Supply and is 16 in. long
Open, the spring is rigid enough to support the seat bottom yet it collapses and folds out of the way when the seat is closed.
                 Total cost:  $2.79 plus tax.

The first picture shows the seat open, second pic shows seat partially closed and the spring collapsing and the third pic is an inside view of the seat closed and the spring fully collapsed.

A project just isn't finished until a test ride is done. Today we went west on the Seneca River to Cross Lake and return.

For mine, I used the left over nylon strap from my new bimini straps.

There holding all my pictures hostage ..  They want monthly payment to view them.
You can just add them here .. Helps to re-size ( smaller ) and upload them here, to the forum.

Do you know anything of patent infringement?

Stealing is such a bad idea, just take it.
