Merry Christmas guys!
I took LIMELIGHT out today on Lake Austin, Dec 27th, 75 degree and light winds. She worked great, no issues. Since I haven't set up the boat yet with two Mercury gas tanks, and had some older gas in my OMC tanks with the surflite, I made an adapter for the OMC tanks that allowed me to plug in the Merc. Adapter worked great... ran through 12 gallons and emptied the OMC tanks. Now I have a good backup. There is a lot of room in the back of this boat (relatively)... two 6 gallons and a 3 gallon tank fits easily.
This boat has that large vinyl cover over the bilge area, and it has been a pain when working under there... always being in the way. So, I made a couple velcro loops that snap onto the panel and they hold the panel up using the boat cleats. Now I can cinch it up and out of the way. It's a simple thing but helps.
Finished the day at the Hula Hut restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Austin (by boat or land).
It was a good day!
Wishing you all a safe 2025!
