1979 Glastron Carlson mercruiser 228 5.0L I/O........runs and floats.

We don't get to take it out very much so we are selling to fund our next toy. So open to trades; SXS, jet ski, something fun. $7000 or best offer.

Clean title, tags are good until the end of the year.
New HEI ignition, electric fuel pump, starter and rebuilt carb. Fires up quick and easy, runs great. The upholstery was redone a few years ago and is still in great shape.

The boat is located in Auburn at our parents house, it is tucked away and we live a few hours away so please, SERIOUS inquiries only and I mean that. We simply don't have time to show the boat to window shoppers.

If you must boat, do it in style! These Vintage Glastron ski boats are best known for a wild chase scene in "Live and Let Die". James Bond approved!
I've owned this for about 2 years. We restored the interior. We had it on the lake twice. Rides true and smooth at 45mph. No leaks. Hull is strong and true. Pulls a tube or skier no problem. Everything works.
115hp Mercury outboard the "Tower of Power"
I did my part to repair and maintain. New plugs and plug wires. Properly fogged the motor for winter storge, filled the tank to avoid condensation inside, Fuel additives (Sta-Bil) to the preserve gas.
NOTE: I think the carbs need a rebuild. After a few hours of running, it starts to flood and gets difficult to start back up.
I was quoted, over the phone, about $750 to have them rebuilt. I still have that shops info if you want to connect with them. Perhaps It could be a cheaper fix, but I haven't bothered digging in. It's 44 years old! Minor cracks in the finish and gel coat are evident.
We don't have the time to do a lot of boating and want to free up the funds for other projects.
Trailer was rebuilt last year. New lights, tires, hitch jack and toe hitch. 2" ball
Comes with a 2-person towable and tow rope. 4 adult life vests and 1 youth, Fire extinguisher and horn. Battery has a built-in charger / maintainer

Price is OBO. 1979 Glastron Carlson sport boat on a solid EZ Loader 5.2 trailer. 1979 115 hp Mercury Motor. Hull is solid, center of plywood deck and center seats removed for rot. Rest of deck is solid. Cushions have various stages of sun and/or water damage but are all present for patterning. Engine is intact and cranks but does not start. It last ran in 2021. Hello , I legally acquired with a property I purchased several years ago.I have both the title for the boat and for one of the 2 identical outboard engines.
I DO NOT have the title for the trailer, under 3,500 lbs cap in Texas

Reason for selling is due to to many projects and not enough space in my "overflow yard" a few weeks ago one of my employees backed into it, the tire grabbing the ball hitch twisting the trailer frame. It's total fixable , I even bought some material to fix it, but to be honest what I don't have is the time to & just looking at it is upsetting.

SO , I decided to liquidate & I need it gone by the end of the week 05-31-2025

I DON'T recommend trailing it on its own, trailers needs repair and tires are dry rotted.
I DO however have equipment I can safely lift it onto a flat bed trailer for you on site.

Classic!! It?s a project. Had it running for a little while on Lake Oroville last summer then it died!
Replace the alternator and it cranked over but wouldn?t fire up!
Too many other projects so my loss your gain!
Trailer itself is worth the price! Open to trades!!
