Time to start the next project.
Two 75 CV-19s both with jets one a 455 and the other one with a 350 plus for it.
The blue one I was just going for the trailer. But it was all there and what the heck.
The gold one I was going to get a better swim platform for the blue one but it was all there also and ended up with the whole thing.
I need a Glastron anonymous intervention.

Had the trailer sand blasted, found out I have a broken slipper leaf spring. Any one out there know where I can get it replaced? Ive tried all the usual spots but no luck. The problem is, its 30-32? long and all Im finding are in the 24-28? length. There are 6 leafs on a side, not sure of the weight Im thinking around 3500lbs.

I tried them earlier looking under shorlander parts and none were the right length. But I went back and searched through all of them and found the right ones. On order and should be here in a few days.

Trailer done. Turned out good, sand blasted, paint, leaf springs, couple new rollers and bunkers. Still need to replace tires but I have a pair of aluminum slots that will look good on it.
Now time to start grinding!

Out with all the old soggy wood. Still have to pull the transom wood and then grind grind grind.

New transom, stringers, floor, battery box. Coming along nicely. Need to make a trip to express composite for some more resin and then the rest of the framing will get done. And then.

Looks good! Mine was in even worse condition but with time and cough, cough, a lot of money it has turned out to be a beauty. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Mine was gone through top to bottom and bow to stern!

I see you are using the original factory exhaust manifolds and
was woundering what your top speed is. I have been using the same manifolds
over the years and can never get past the 60 mph range, even with different
engines . Others I have asked with the CV-19 have not been able to get past the
60 mark. I think those manifolds are restrictive and thats the problem . They are the
only ones I know of that will fit under the engine hatch and line up with the transom outlets.

Original speed was 58-60 when new. The boat was 1 year old when I bought it.

This is the motor Im using. 455 olds. I was told it is a good one but I need to check it over and at least clean it up. These are the manifolds that are on it and I will be using. 60 mph is plenty for me. All the other jets Ive had have had this style on them and they all have been in that 60 mph range. But they all have been olds motors.
Floors all in and foamed in.
New fuel tank going in. Got rid of the rusty 18 gallon tank and went to this 25 gallon poly tank. Should be able to run it a little farther now.

For sure now is the time to replace the old steel tank while
everything is apart. The original one was steel 27 gals. I did mine
years ago with everything in place . Had to do some cutting on the ski locker.

Make sure your starter is in good condition because you have to pull the engine
to get to it in place , or at least raise it way up. Need a float switch on the bilge
pump to keep the water level down and save the starter over time.

Yes I always put a new bilge pump in with a new float switch. Now that I see the 25 gallon in there I think I could have made the bigger one work also.
And definitely a new starter.
After all it is a jet boat!

Sorry guys, Ive never been a fan of the back to back seats. so mucked up the same style that the cvx ones have, two buckets and a bench. I think I like it! Knowing that the jets can turn and spin around on a dime we have always felt safer in the buckets. Plus now I can make a couple large places behind the bench to put all the boating stuff.

There was a guy on White Bear Lake that converted a CV jet to I/O and changed seating .. Looks like a better set up

Best way to remove old carpet and glue Ive found. Mini grinder with heavy wire brush. Only took me 45 minutes to strip off all the old stuff.

Anyone out there have the paint code for the ivory on a 75 cv-19. I was hoping I could save it but there are to many scratches I need to fix so I need to match the bottom ivory.

Hopefully I can get it painted in the next couple weeks. As long as the weather cooperates.

I can match it with a paint sample book. But it would be easier with the numbers.
