Hey Red, wondering why there are the 2 big holes cut in the stern of the boat?
Thats one of the things I've not seen in any other sea camper, the port side had a small generator and there were two propane bottles in the starboard side. there were panels that covered the big holes, and there is an access door on the inside if them both by the step/platform. Those boxes were made into the hull, above the water line, making it a 26ft boat, but the hull is 24ft, and the title states 24ft. When I pull the motor back out of it, I'm going to extend the hull, move the transom back 2ft, and that will put the motor back under the aft deck, be room for a couple lawn chairs that way. I don't think I'll have to re-position the boat on the trailer when I do that, that little sucker had somewhere about 800 /900 pounds tongue weight as it was, and with the 260 in it now, there is at least 200 pounds up there, I try'd lifting it, could budge it, and there is nothing inside the cabin except the floor.
I have two new 50 gallon poly tanks, ethanol approved, that fit between the stringers, they are 5ft long, but I think I will be using the forward one for a holding tank, that way the gas tank sets right over the axles, then the only weight added to the tongue of the trailer would be whats in the holding tank.
